April 16th Follow-on...As I described above, we're attempting to identify what we think are the remains of one or possibly two U-Boats off the NH and southern ME coast. There is ample circumstantial and anecdotal evidence to suggest that possibility. So, I'd like to pose a question to the forum: Is there a database of U-Boat skippers, who went 'missing' between July-October 1944? Can we identify their names and the losses of their boats between those dates? Just another possible piece of the puzzle that could possibly bring closure to their families. BTW, we have these areas mapped precisely, and will be conducting our surveys the month of May. Really appreciate any assistance, guidance or thoughts about this quest. Cheers - Larry
