<HTML>Hello:
I am 17 and a big fan of naval history, comes from watching old war movies with my mother. I\'ve noticed a lot of outspokeness about the accuracy(or lack there of) in the movie U-571. I enjoyed the movie myself, though the underwater combat I felt was a tad \"hokey\". Just for my own advancement in knowledge what other in-accuracy\'s are in the film? I\'m no expert but I tried to pick out a few, correct me if I\' m wrong:
German destroyer in middle of Atlantic.
German destroyer doesn\'t look like a Maass class.
Hunt for Red October like underwater comabat.
The machine gunning of the British survivors(this I found disturbing, but recently on this website I read about the Laconia Incident).
Land based aircraft screening the destroyer.
What others where in the movie?
For Christmas I received Das Boot, I have always heard it was good and greatly enjoyed it.
