<HTML>\"Clear the Bridge\" is an interesting account of a U.S. sub (the U.S.S. Tang) in the WWII Pacific theatre. The author was the sub\'s captian, Richard O \'Kane. It\'s interesting to contrast the U.S. fleet boat expereince in the Pacific with the German U-boat experience in the North Atlantic.
I also found \"Hunter Killer\" to be an interesting read, although not autobigraphical. It covers the development of the escort carrier in the battle of the Atlantic and has in depth coverage of the U.S.S. Bogue and U.S.S. Card among other CVEs. I find it very interesting to compare the accounts of the same incident from different sources. For example, \"Battle Beneath the Waves\" and \"Hunter Killer\" both provide detailed information about the sinking of U-66, each with their own prespective.</HTML>
