My comments were not anti yank in total. As a 2nd year history university student i have experience of what happened and what is portrayed. I have also met a man who won the VICTORIA CROSS for gallantry on submarines during ww2, the UKs highest award for bravery; whose modesty and politeness meant that he didnt mention the award once, he was far more concerned with conveying to me his concern for his shipmates and his family.
My comments were against the industry of fictional history peddled by Hollywood.In fact for my money one of the worst perpetrators of historical rubbish would have to be one Australian, the one and only MR M. Gibson. NO matter what country a brave man is from he, to me, will always be a brave man. I also have no problem with the role you yanks are playing in afghanistan, granted we could have done with help, or at least moral support during the Falklands, and more help from you to try and sort out BOSNIA, but in reality, in mind people are equal it is the politicians that screw everything up.
POLITICAL SCREWING UP THAT CAUSES DECENT MEN TO DIE HAS NO FAVOURITE NATIONALITY.
ANYWAY MR MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE IF YOU ARE EVER IN STAFFORDSHIRE THE ALE IS FINE AND GUARANTEED SERVICE WITH A SMILE.</HTML>
