The Hollywood film industry's submarine flicks cater to a United States audience,
and are mainly interested in producing an "exciting" rendition af a historical fact.
They got "burned" a little when "K-19: THE WIDOWMAKER" script was viewed by
survivors of the "real" K-19, and modified it prior to its production and release.
The fact that "NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC" was closely tied to its production, casts
doubts as to whether they will be involved in another such production in the future.
When I viewed the flick in an over-crowded theater in Florida, the audience was so
loud and excited throughout most of the flick, that I retreated to the head to rest my
ears for a few minutes. After I returned, it was the same thing all over again. They
all got what they paid for.......EXCITEMENT!
Frankly, I expected more......
