<HTML>U-571 is a bunch of bull, IMHO. Typical hollywood crap. Now, don't get me wrong, I do not particularly adore Germans, as they killed quite a few of my relatives in WWII. But U-571 has nothing to do with moral whatsoever. Yes, it portrays the Germans as bad guys, which they were, but it does a sucky job at that, and therefore discredits the idea. War is where a bunch of crooks get a hurd of brainwashed idiots to f..ing whack another hurd of brainwashed idiots. A cheap flick like U-571 would make sence in 40s, where it would be a part of the brainwashing. What's the point of making this movie now? Entertainment, unfortunately the public ejoys the movies where "WE" kill "THEM" (substitute WE and THEM depending on where you are from). Being a veteran of the war in Chechnya myself, I hate this kind of @#$%&. Again, I don't like Germans, but promoting hatered (or even promoting my point of view on Germans) is WRONG. And, just for the record, "Das Boot" is an honest movie. Even though I hate war movies, I liked it. Of couse it shows things from a german point of view, well it's a german movie after all. And, I have to give it extra credit, because most other german movies that I have seen sucked big time.</HTML>
