This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

<HTML>Mr. Volker Erich Kummrow,
I had a somewhat difficult time understanding the point of your previous message, but i can say, without a doubt, that the point of it was to criticize me. However, I do not understand why you should criticize me. Perhaps we both misinterprited each others' posts. I wonder what of my post you think wrong.
My point was simply that Hollywood does not do a very good job portraying Germans from WWII. In hollywood, they make nearly every german a sort of cruel, cold-hearted person, reminiscent of the Gestapo. Many of us know people who are German veterans of WWII. And many of them have never said, "we have ways of making you talk", nor have they shot any person in cold blood. Those are the typical hollywood stereotypes and cliches. That is my point. There are many untruths and misconceptions about WWII.
You also seem to say that i have no knowledge of WWII. I'm not sure just how you came about this idea. I wouldn't call myself an expert on the subject. But i don't think many can call themselves experts on any subject. It's my opinion that i am fairly well aquainted with the history of WWII and what's more, go about without bias.
Again, i'm sorry if there is some kind of misunderstanding on either of our parts.
I do however begin to wonder if i ever should have mentioned my age on this forum. It seems that some people may be somewhat biased...
