From some old notes I have from the Book U-boat Inteligence" Grant it has: U-12 War Pilot Volker POW escapes from a camp in England goes to Hull boards a Swedish Bark Ionstorp which is stopped by the U-16 which picks him up and takes in to Germany. The 5 group RAF Fortnightly summery has air attacks on a U-boat by 217 squadron that claimed a sinking there were 2 large oil patches and a spar sighted 10 miles N of Dunkirk. The Osprey book "Q-ship Vs U-boat" by David Greenhill has the following: 15 mar 17 Q- Result combat with the UC45 in the Dogger Bank area This ship fought another action with a unknown U-boat on 4 Apr 17.
