2140 hours - Received a contact report from USS Apogon.

2150 hours - Went ahead full to intercept.

2240 hours - Received a contact report from USS Dace. This appears to be a different contact.

2325 hours - Received a message from USS Apogon that she is going to attack.

2333 hours - Apogon reported her attack completed.

19 July 1945
0005 hours - Apogon reported two ships sunk, possibly three.

0040 hours - Received another position report from Apogon.

0115 hours - Radar contact on USS Apogon.

0125 hours - Radar contact on the target bearing 170°(T), range 15000 yards. Commenced tracking and approach.

0200 hours - Targets is zig-zagging on a base course 350°(T), speed 9.5 knots.

0215 hours - In position 50°39'N, 154°38'E fired three torpedoes from 2250 yards.

0218 hours - Observed two timed hits and possibly a third hit. The target exploded and disappeared from the radar screen shortly afterwards.
