17:27 - Mistakes/bugs in books
I've almost finished programming the new Errata Database System (thanks for the support on this idea!). Now we just need to get the data in there (we've got some but enough to publish right now, maybe in 2-3 weeks hopefully). You can however right now submit your suspected or known bugs to our system!
17:27 - Worked on cleaning out few obscure bugs in the Fates databases. Almost none of those bugs affected the data being shown but could confuse further calculations later on.
17:27 - I've almost given up on trying to reduce the size of my mailbox as I am unable to get the number of unanswered mail below 530 it seems. No matter how hard I work I cannot answer the mail I really wish I could :/
17:27 - We are investigating the possibility of collecting in one place mistakes/typos and the like for Naval Warfare Books. This would possibly be linked from each book we have such entries for and would help weed out innocent mistakes in otherwise excellent books. Would this interest you? Would you help?
Tell us what you think of this idea!
16:25 - There was a very nice article/interview with me about uboat.net and related projects in the largest newspaper in Iceland published today. Printed along the interview with me was an overview of Events on this day.
17:27 - I finally met our own Tonya Allen in person after working closely with her for about 18 months on uboat.net when she and her husband Ray paid Iceland a short visit. We had 2 pleasant and relaxed evenings over the weekend before they flew back. So in effect she visited the uboat.net HQ! hehe :)
17:27 - Been working on fixing and improving several small items in the database files and answering letters.Chose and installed the Commander of the Week files for the rest of this year.
In addition to the items shown here above we made some 6 additions or changes in our databases during September 2000.
