14:31 - Enigma code simulator
The Enigma World Code Group has just launched a new site which should interest all who have wondered about the German Engima code machine. Check them out at http://www.EnigmaWorldCodeGroup.com.
14:29 - All site maps totally rewriten
In mid December I launched the totally overhauled maps based on the newer Google Maps 3 API. The new maps are more efficient and give us more possibilities to further develop them. This was a major process but we're much better off now :) Examples include U-31 (sunk twice) and U-boats sunk by Allied subs. See more at the main maps page.
07:54 - U-boat emblems vastly improved
I have spent the last few weeks adding all the images not yet with an image to the Emblem database. This was a major project but now all U-boat emblems should be included. 913 emblems are shown on 847 U-boats. 310 of those have actual image to show the emblems, 603 more emblems have been described to help explain them. Our interesting Coat of Arms emblem page is now much improved but there are still a few we're not sure about.
In addition to the items shown here above we made some 1757 additions or changes in our databases during December 2013.
