HMS Diomede (Cdr.(Retd.) J.W. Hoskyns, RN) and HMS Volunteer (No C.O. ship was in dockyard control) were docked at Rosyth. (1)

HMS Diomede (Cdr.(Retd.) J.W. Hoskyns, RN) and HMS Volunteer (No C.O. ship was in dockyard control) were undocked.

During the undocking of HMS Diomede she struck the dock wall with her port propeller resulting in the port gland space flooding. She was docked again later the same day for repairs. (2)
