HMS Diomede immediately left for a patrol along the west coast of South America.

HMAS Perth departed the following morning for Papeete while en-route to Sydney. (2)

On completion they proceeded to the Panama Canal which they entered around 0915R/13. They exited the Canal on the east side around 2030R/13. HMS Diomede then set course for Bermuda. (5)
