| Notes on event | At 04.27 hours on 4 Feb 1942 the unescorted Silveray (Master Harry Green), dispersed from convoy ON-55, was torpedoed by U-751 and sank after being hit by two coups de grâce at 04.50 and 05.07 hours south of Halifax. Seven crew members and one gunner were lost. The master and 34 survivors were picked up by USCGC Campbell (WPG 32) and landed at Argentia, Newfoundland. Six survivors were rescued by the Lucille M. and landed at Lockeport, Nova Scotia. | ||
