Fighter pilot of 813 Squadron FAA, flying Sea Hurricanes from the carrier HMS EAGLE and having scored two air kills and one probable during Operation Harpoon. He survived the sinking of the carrier during Operation Pedestal and then joined 800 Squadron FAA, flying Sea Hurricanes from the escort carrier HMS BITER during Operation Torch. Crosley later flew Seafires during the Normandy landings and became commander of 880 Squadron FAA, finishing the war with 4.5 kills and one probable.
