Personal information
Michel John Richardson joined the Royal Navy in 1937, assigned to HMS Wildfire as training ship. His first ship was HMS Newcastle and later joined HMS Woodpecker. After his ship was torpedoed he joined HMS Lark, which was also torpedoed in February 1945. He then joined HMS Cheviot for service in the Mediterranean and was demobilized at the end of World War Two. Michel married in 1952 and became father of two sons and three daughters.
