Personal information
Husband of Elsie Fowler (nee Bates) and father of Michael (born August 1943), of Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. He survived the sinking of Toward and was picked up by HMS Mignonette, suffering a fracture in the left hand when hauled aboard by a rope.
