Post-war:
On 24 June 1948 the Fenris caught fire in 45°55N/19°05W and sank two days later in 44°38N/19°49W. 
Notes on event

In the evening of 21 February 1944 U-168 hit the unescorted Fenris with its last torpedo amidships and had no ammunition for the deck gun to sink the damaged ship. The tanker first went to the Addu Atoll, then continued to Bombay at 11 knots under own power for repairs and returned to service in September 1944.
