HMS Voracious (Lt. F.D.G. Challis, DSC, RN) conducted A/S exercises at/off Scapa Flow with HMS Opportune (Cdr. J. Lee-Barber, DSO and Bar, RN), HMS Ulysses (Lt.Cdr. R.J. Hanson, DSO, DSC, RN), HMS Verulam (Lt.Cdr. W.S. Thomas, DSC, RN) and HMS Nubian (Lt.Cdr. T.A. Pack-Beresford, RN).
Upon completion of these exercises HMS Voracious departed Scapa Flow for Holy Loch. She was escorted by HMS Sardonyx (T/A/Lt.Cdr. E. Playne, RNVR). (1)
27 Aug 1944
HMS Malaya (Capt. E.W. Bush, DSO and Bar, DSC, RN) departed Greenock for Portsmouth.
At 1500/28, she was joined by the destroyers HMCS Haida (Capt. H.G. De Wolf, DSO, RCN) and ORP Blyscawica (Cdr. K.F. Namiesniowski).
These destroyers were relieved at 0250/9 by the destroyers HMS Ulysses (Lt.Cdr. R.J. Hanson, DSO and Bar, DSC, RN) and HMS Vimy (Lt.Cdr. K.H.J Lynch Phibbs, RN).
HMS Malaya arrived at Portmouth in the afternoon of August, 29th. (2)

HMS Vox (Lt. W.E.I. Littlejohn, DSC, RANVR) conducted A/S exercises off Sydney with HMS Undine (Cdr. T.C. Robinson, RN), HMS Ulysses, HMS Urania (Lt.Cdr. J.M. Alliston, DSO, DSC, RN), HMS Grenville (Capt. R.G. Onslow, DSO, RN), HMCS Undaunted (Lt.Cdr. C.E.R. Sharp, RN) and HMS Urchin (Lt.Cdr. A.F. Harkness, DSC, OBE, RD, RNR). (3)
