Hi SK,
5-7 sec sounds abt right to get the Diesels to stop, switch to edrive, close intake and exhaust valves and head south. Don't bother with the snort at that time (if type 7 or 9), since your underwater speed will not exceed snorkeling speed anyhow. If on type 21 or 23, last thing to do in above sequence is to hit button for hydraulic retraction of snorkel. Rgds, RB
