My dad's brother was petty officer on the maaloy Alfred William Bailey. any photos available of crew. I have found some information on www.wrecksite.eu the maaloy torpedoed on 27/03/1944 off Ceylon MAALOY HMS (J136) was a British Royal Navy Whaler requisitioned in 1942 and used as a Minesweeper. She was torpedoed and sunk off Ceylon by German submarine U-510 (Alfred Eick) on the 27th March 1944. The commander (T/Lt F.J. Perkins, Rnvr), 23 crew members and at least two passengers (Flt. Lt Donald E. Walker and Maldivian chief minister Hassan Fareed) were lost
