Michael,
The misenditification I am talking about is a confusion on the wreck either by french or british hydro dept. Of course not on the name itself.
Now to explain the difference in longitude, I suppose a miswriting in the long. first digit. Supposing so, the location would become 49.33 3.46 which is close to 49.20 3.40, (there are only 13 nm of difference) which is not surprising after some days at sea based on dead reckoning when there is no occasion to have a good astro location.
I'll check the CD of SHOM (French Hydro)to see if any wreck is identified in that area.
