I am very sorry to hear that you received so many negative letters regarding the subscription issue. I am disappointed in the fact that many people don\'t understand what it takes to maintain such a site. In addition, I really do hope you will continue your database work. I know it costs money and I definitely think that you have enough supporters to help you out. Please don\'t consider it as begging if we want to make contributions. I think this site is your baby, but it is also the home for I would say the majority of the people on this forum. I think in order to keep this home, we all would contribute, no matter if it was for a subscription or for just a \"good cause\" contribution. Again, I think we would support you in all you do and I think you would be surprised by the correspondence.
Gummi, I hope you make the right decision and let us help you out. I still think the subscription is the way to go, even it is 40 or 50 dollars. I agree with what MPC has said about the money issue. 50 dollars for u-boot, submarine, and history lovers such as many of the people on this forum would be glad to pay for such a resource too.
I think you and kpp have an excellent (the picture database etc.), and that would need monetary support as well. I know all of us would love to see that kind of a database. All in all, this funding is a \"historical necessity\" and I would be honored to make a contribution.
