That wasnt directed at you personally - I know some youngsters like \"tony\" cant afford a subscription - sorry I didnt think about people in your case. What prompted me to post that message was something Jak Mallmann wrote about people abusing the U-Boat Archive and I quote:-
\"one man wrote saying that he wanted only free photocopies from the Archive and could not see why he should have to pay for them. Another said that he would only pay after he had received the information and checked whether it is of any use to him\"
That could be the sort of people that would also visit uboat.net ones that are not needed here.
Hopefully, if it gets afloat, there could be different levels of subs - for those like yourself and others with a better financial disposition - but then again all those outsiders who want something for nothing will plead poverty.

Permit me to wish you well and a speedy recovery. Im sure you dont want to be \"sick on shore\" for too long ! all the best to you and yours for Christmas and 2001 (God is Arthur C. Clarke gonna post something now ??)
