LET US ALL START THINKING POSITIVE
Can you set up a bank account that will not charge you too much changing all the various currencies you will receive?
If the banks are like British banks each time cash is changed there is a small charge although you may change X-dollars, X-francs X-pounds etc in one go they are counted as separate transactions and all incur a charge - thats where you can loose out.
What are the cheapest ways for us to pay.
Personal cheque, bank draft, international money transfer, cash?
The less it costs us in charges the more we could pay in subscription.
Would it be possible to pay by Visa/Mastercard Switch Delta etc? I know some, me included, to not like giving those details out over the net but they could be sent to you by snail mail.
Would it be possible to register uboat.net as a charity under Icelandic laws and perhaps be able to escape some charges/taxes you may incurr.
As you have really put Iceland on the map as it were is there any chance of financial help from your government? Perhaps some of us could lobby them on your behalf. Remembering previous postings I wont mention contacting the German government.
One last thing from me 50$ well I wasnt thinking correctly but thats only about £25-30 sterling - not a busting lot for a years subs - about the same as the U-Boat Archive.
