this subject was discussed many times over and I can assure you that everybody on this forum, who is interested in U-boats, gave his/her input on this topic already. Unfortunatly there is not much we can do about it. As fare as I know, there is an effort to preserve the boat by the museum, but I don't know how they are going to do that.
