<HTML>Genltmen: I have information that a German ww2 U boat is sunk off of the west coast of Mexico, more specifically off the Sonora coast. It is rumored to have been seen a few times, It is claimed to lie in approx. 80 ft of water, partially submerged in a sandy bottom with an 80 degree list?? Supposedly some of the crew were interned in a Mexican POW camp at Manzanillo. My informant claims her brother was a Mexican naval officer at the camp. There was no military action to explain why it was sunk, I have my own theory. Documants were claimed to have been obtained from the body of a naval officer that had drowned with two em apparantly while trying to contact an espionage agent from the US.???? I have very limited access to documents etc. to prove or disprove this, and would appreciate an opinion or information before going to the expense of a search. I understand there are 5 U boats unaccounted for, could this be one of them? I would Apreciate any opinions or answers pro or con.</HTML>
