Thank you very much for these answers ! This makes things already a lot clearer. Of course any additional info on the subjects remain welcome.
Forgot to mention this in my story. Part of Antarctica is known as Ritscherland, named after Alfred Ritscher, who did an expedition in the late 1930's to this area and photographed a large part of the continent from the air. Ritscher served in Flanders during WW I as CO of the II Marine Feldflieger Abteilung at Moorsele,...
There is still circulating the story of a German base on Antarctica constructed during the war, where was used alien technogoly and development of UFO's and blablabla. Already had some good laughs with it.
HOWEVER, some documents seem to point out in the direction of the fact that there might just have been a secret base on Antarctica, but not for UFO's but for German submarines.
And of course there is admiral Byrd...
