<HTML>Hey RB,
Calm down - Is a person scum all their lives or do outside influences affect what we become? As Hermann Göring was a fighter ace and holder of the plm he too trod the wrong path later in life.
I didnt know what crew Heydrich joined but I knew that he was a good naval officer but one (as many have been) with an eye for the ladies. I believe he was involved with the daughter of a senior officer and due to some indiscretions was forced to leave the Reichsmarine. What I was interested in was what sort of naval officer he would have made and how far he would have risen in rank through his own endeavours (not getting to know the likes of Himmler and accelerated promotions etc.) The man himself had a few good points I was just wondering as to what sort U-boat commander he might have become.
See the post from kpp - yes thanks kpp for that (and also the info on Jochen Ahme - I would like more of his U-boat career if you can find it)
Ying, Fin, Anders etc I wonder what some of your views on this subject are ?
Kindest regards
MPC
