Dear Herr Kummrow,
Many, many thanks for all these links; I have printed out all the articles, and bookmarked them as well. It's very interesting to read what the different publications have to say about "the old Pirate." I'm especially touched to read that he chose to have his ashes inurned in Bernried. My husband and I visited the Museum der Phantasie in 2002 and found the entire place quite beautiful--as is, of course, that entire area around the Starnberger See.
I will do what I can with translation, although people who read only English can learn quite a bit from the London Times article!
Although Inlive about 1,000 west of Colorado, we speak virtually the same dialect here in San Francisco. If you ever visit California, I'm confident you will have no trouble understanding us or being understood!
Again, Vielen Dank für die Artikel.
Best regards,
Meg
