Hi Andre,

I forgot one of the abbreviations you listed in your first post:


G.H.G. = Gruppenhorchgerät = underwater sound detector, or passive sonar.

I have no idea about NOzO, (MZ), or (AZ), however. As to your last post:


Horchpeilung = sound bearing (passive sonar.) "Horchpeilungen" is the plural.

"Peilung steht" = "Bearing stands."


"Achteres Sehrohr ausgefallen. Die Rolle mit Federlager am Angriffssehrohr ist beim auf Tiefe gehen in der Schweißnaht abgerissen. Sehrohr ließ sich nicht aufsetzen."

"Aft periscope out of order. Roller with spring bearing on attack periscope torn off at the weld seam while going deep. Periscope cannot be raised."


That's the best I can do with this. Maybe someone here whose German is better, or who knows something about periscopes and their parts, can improve on it.
