Peter,
I think that you approached the subject from the wrong direction. Had you mentioned first that you were researching Operation Deadlight and the possible raising of a U-boat to go on public display (which, by the way, I think is a very good idea but not at the cost of more human lives) I am sure you would have got better feedback from the posters here. You could then have mentioned the 'stories' at a later time. As Barry said people are somewhat fed up with posts of that sort.
I certainly wish you well with whatever you choose to do with this project. As I said before there is and was no disrespect intended to your goodself but I still stand by what I said about about the licence payer's money. Perhaps you don't get the same programmes as we here in England and get better value for your money.
