Ok, here we go:

In the east star shells, moreover the convoy respectively the remains of the former mass that is apparently reforming.
A shadow on the port side. Ran towards it. Steamer of about 5500 GRT. 4 big hatches. High deck load of timber. Steamer was apparently waiting for the reforming convoy coming from astern.
One torpedo, the "last" on a distace of 600 meters. Hit amidships. Ship lists heavy to one side. Deck cargo went overboard. Fire caused by boiler explosion, sank after about 30 minutes.
Commenced return voyage because all torpedoes had been fired except of three G7a torpedoes in the upper deck containers, which can not be loaded because the loading mechanism had been damaged by heavy seas.
