Hi all!

Excellent thread, thanks! Just to add something to the mix, the picture of U-260 was apparently taken by a crewmember in late 1943. As far as I can tell, U-260 didn't get her Schnorkel until summer 1944, so if that's true, the pipe is there too early to be something to do with the Schnorkel!

I'm getting more and more interested about what this pipe / container waa there for!
