<HTML>Hi Frank,
No, the Nazies had nothing to do with the so-called gothic style of German writing. It was the standard way of writing for centuries before. Early last century roman writing became gradually more popular and existed side by side with the gothic under the NS regime. I still learned the gothic writing in Grammar School shortly after WW2. My 5y younger brother did not anymore. Rgds, RB</HTML>
