Call me cynical, but...

<HTML>Well, yes! That\'s what I do think Clark! I have no problem with works of fiction, I just think that if you make a film of a real life event, you should try to make it accurate in some way. Otherwise, what the hell is the point!

Yeah, there\'ll be all those people out there that\'ll say their not interested in a documentary, but want entertainment. Well, if you\'re not interested in the subject matter, why bother watching it in the first place? Not only that, real life is far more fascinating than any fiction an author could write.

Obviously, some fictional characters are usually unavoidable to an extent. But, that shouldn\'t be an excuse for rewriting the entire content of the film!

And what the hell has Hollywood got against Britain anyway? First we get Mel Gibson\'s fanciful \'Braveheart\', that messes with the reality. Then we have \'The Messenger: Joan of Arc\' and \'The Patriot\' which are equally selective with their facts when Brit-bashing.

Not forgetting \'Saving Private Ryan\', \'U-571\' and most other big W.W.II films, where the British are just quietly removed from the picture as though they never even existed. Well, I guess they can\'t be demonised here, \'cos they aren\'t the enemy... Doh!

Anyway, enough moaning. I can\'t wait to see an unnaturally handsome Bon Jovi lead a squad of American soldiers into Stalingrad to save the Russians from the German onslaught in \'Enemy at the Gates\'. Hooray for Hollywood...</HTML>
