Movies and Films
This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

Without having seen this film I don\'t feel that I am in a position to comment as to the authenticity - though having read reviews apparently the footage of von Paulus with a Panzer Division in the background is suspect. I have, many years ago, read the book on which the film of the same name is based and it does go into some detail about Zaitsev and the German master sniper. Then again in a lot of cases the books tend to be better than the films but we should remember that there is a limit to the amount of information & detail that you can squeeze into a two hour film without making it ponderous. Budgets also dictate what you are able to portray.
Speaking of war films, what is the consensus of opinion on \"When Trumpets Fade\"?</HTML>
