This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

The next Hollywood flick to be criticized by the paticipants of this forum is "K-19: THE WIDOWMAKER"......
And Hollywood just can't wait for the criticism to commence. The more bitching
and moaning that happens, the happier they are, 'cause most of the participants of
this forum will see the flick, rent the video or the DVD. Their comments will appear on this forum and "forum surfers" (who don't normally participate) will be curious and will rush out to see it, or whatever. Hollywood likes that, and the "word of mouth" forum inputs are a free bit of publicity for the flick. Remember, it's just a big
"beeziness."
If it's historic accuracy that we are looking for, we will rarely find it in Hollywood.
U.S. TV channels like NOVA, THE HISTORY CHANNEL, THE LEARNING CHANNEL & A&E, air a much more accurate presentation of these events.
K-19 was produced in joint-venture betwen National Geographic and Intermedia. The distribution and publicity was handled by Paramount Studios. The criticism
has started and I've put in my two cents also. More "fodder" for the forum!
Respectfully,
