<HTML>Patrick:
When I was assigned to the USS WILLARD KEITH (DD-775) at the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard in San Pedro, CA in '44, seastore cigarettes were 5 cents a pack,
and we used to swap gasoline-ration "C" stamps with the "yardbirds."
Aaah, those were the days.........
When I was COB on USS PIPER (SS-409) in Philly, I used to get (legally), sea-store "coffin nails" for the Turkish Submarine COB.
