This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

<HTML>Dear George,
You may remember our first exchange of e-mails. Your presumption and your assumptions always seem to get you in hot water, don't they? we're made of sterner stuff than other (disappearing) members of this Forum, and it's still a democratic society, and there's always the possibility of being deleted if we poor women manage to get on the nerves of you gentlemen. It was certainly not a 'flame-throwing' argument, just a friendly and frank exchange of views. I offered to agree to disagree, but the offer had no takers. I do apologise for taking up space on the server, but otherwise I see no reason to stop speaking my mind.
As for that person, he detracts from the movie, and he certainly used it as a stepping-stone to a Hollywood career. I don't know about you, but I have repeatedly said that I first discovered U-boats through the excellent account of Dr Wolfgang Frank, Die Wölfe und der Admiral, n o t Das Boot. And I shall always consider books better than films where history is concerned, and find it sometimes sad that there's no books Forum on this excellent site.
Regards
