This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

Well, I think it is not strictly forbidden to talk also about books here, Io! :-)
Now, I'm starting with that:
Hmmmm, I'm wondering if we mean the same book, but my "Der Wölfe und Ihr Admiral" from Wolfgang Franke is a reprint for the Weltbild Verlag and it was newly printed last year or two years ago. This book is in my section "Read only once", because the style of these short stories was for me PK-style. I read it and rememberd the scene in the book "Das Boot" where Kaleun or LI reads a text in a newspaper regarding the "Geburtstagsdampfer" And not only the Kaleun was infuriated about that style.
To my surprise a similar scene with a "Geburtstagsdampfer" is in "Jäger der sieben Weltmeere" from Franz Kurowski. If I remember right it was the report about Topp or L-W himself!
I'm realy curious if we both mean the same book! :-)
