History

The flotilla displayed another emblem seen on many of its boats.

The 24th Flotilla was founded in November 1939. This flotilla trained future U-boat commanders (Kommandantenschiesslehrgang = KSL).

In every KSL 10 to 12 officers received, in 4 weeks, their last training before going out to sea. Its history ended in March 1945, when the flotilla was disbanded.
