  Have just added 94 photos of U-boat Commanders; 60 from Crew 37b and 34 officers from Crew 34. All the photos came from Kriegsmarine Crew books and mostly feature photos from their training years. Now we have photos of 700 U-boat Commanders.

  Wrote a career bio on the 26-year old Kptlt. Klaus Hänert, the Commander of U-550 just discovered of the US coast this week.

  The wreck of U-550 has been found off the US coast. See our announcement on this discovery or visit the U-550 page directly. Thanks to everyone who sent this in (I was away for the day and just saw this while, fittingly, at sea).
