HMS Godetia (Lt. A.H. Pierce, OBE, RNR) picks up 16 survivors from the British tanker British Dominion that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-522 northwest of the Canary Islands in position 30°30'N, 19°55'W.


Corvette HMS Spiraea (K 08)


13 Mar 1943
HMS Spiraea (Lt. A.H. Pierce, OBE, RNR) picks up four survivors from the British merchant Oporto and the sole survivor from the Dutch merchant Sembilangan that were torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-107 in the convoy OS-44 190 nautical miles west of Cape Finisterre in position 42°45'N, 13°31'W.

HMS Spiraea (Lt. A.H. Pierce, OBE, RNR) and HMS Alisma (Lt. G. Lanning, RANVR) together pick up 68 survivors from the British merchant Fort Howe that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-410 east of Bougie in position 37°19'N, 06°40'E.
