Career information
Born Wembley, England, 12 Nov 1906. Arrived in Australia with wife and children, about 1947. Died in Perth, Western Australia 28 July 1987.
After promotion to Commander, he commanded a flotilla of minesweepers. He was at Dunkirk, and was in charge of minesweeping the port at Copenhagen (København) in Denmark after the liberation. He was awarded the DSC (Distinguished Service Cross).
After the war, as a sea captain (Royal Naval Reserve) he commanded the merchant ship Koolama (State Ships, Western Australia Government)
