Hello Rodney Martin,

as to Hängemattenstangen I am not sure if theses were installed in the interior of a ship just to serve for crew – members to hook on their Hängematten but were pipes, post, bars etc. leading or connecting other equipment within the ship and were additionally convenient to hold Hängematten during a sailor’s sleep thus saving room, additional post, weight etc.

As to translate Rohrverkleidung it means you like to cover or line up f.e. a pipe leading to the heater installed in your living room etc. I’m not sure if the American/English - language provides for e technical term like pipe cover etc; checking WEBSTER I couldn’t’ find one.
