Type XXI Flak Turrets

How were the 20mm AA turrets on the Type XXI U-boat operated? I can find nothing in my reference books. Some questions I have: where were the gunners positioned? were they hydraulically operated? how did they enter the turrets, or were they remotely -controlled? Thank you in advance for any replies.
