Help identifying ww2 ship please !

Hi, I was wondering if any of you could idenetify the ship in this photograph.

My father served on this ship and he told me that they were attacked by Italian aircraft (I think he took this pic not long after - his best mate was killed on one such attack) and that they rammed a submarine at one time.
