Freddy,
Thanks for the information. I found a glitch in my database, so the total is 74 ships: 60 sunk, 7 mined, 3 damaged, 4 captured. 35 of the ships sunk (really 34 plus the barge VOLHARDING) were of 300+ grt, the rest smaller.
For the mined ships, I now have the same you do less Hastier (could I get detail on her and where she was mined?) but plus:
NIEUPORT (f/v),150 grt, July 1915, Mined off Calais (UC3), exact date uncertain
CENOBIC (f/v), 16 grt, 23/4/1917, Mined off Le Treport (UC71)
I suspect that FLANDRES and MINISTRE DE SMET DE NAEYER sank in the same minefield that was laid by surface ships.
Damaged ships:
KELTIER, 2360 grt, 7/12/1916, 40 miles W of Scilly Island - 49°29'N 07°58'W - damaged only by UB29
SERESIA, 2342 grt, 26/8/1917, 6 miles NE of Trevose Head - damaged only by UC47
KURLAND, 1964 grt, 10/12/1917, Atlantic, W of the Channel - damaged only by U89 (gunfire)
Captured, one steamer and three small fishing or sailing vessels. I could use the tonnage on the small ships.
HAELEN, 3290 grt, 3/11/1917, North Sea between Bergen and the Shetlands by UB63
Z10 DAVID MARIE (f/v), 20/2/1916, Flanders coast by UB13
LEON MATHILDE (s/v), 24/8/1915, off Ostende by UB17
ZZ 20 (f/v), 27/6/1916, off the Flanders coast by UB 16
Z abnd ZZ would port codes.
Best wishes,
Michael
