Piet,
I can't find any match with that Telesfora. I have read probably all of Paul Chack and I have to admit that there are some non coherent entries. Even if at the time he wrote most of those books (in the 20's), he was in charge of the French Naval History Dept, I am inclined to think he was not really an historian but for sure, he was a fantastic novelist with a very pleasant style.
